A six-year-old repeatedly cursed at police officers after shooting his teacher in the chest at a Virginia elementary school, newly unsealed bodycam footage revealed.
Teacher Abby Zwerner was shot in the chest by the child at Richneck Elementary School in Newport News, Virginia, in January 2023. She survived and later won a $10m suit after jurors found warnings about the child having a gun were ignored.
In the footage, reading specialist Amy Kovac is seen retraining the boy who curses at officers, offers to fight them and admits to stealing the gun from his mother.
