Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) Chairman Bhupender Gupta urged employees to participate in all activities being organised by the SJVN during ‘Swachhtaa Pakhwada 2026’ across all its projects and offices. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), administered the ‘Swachhata Pledge’ to employees at the corporate headquarters in Shimla in the presence of Pankaj Porwal, CVO, SJVN and other senior officials.

On the occasion, Sharma said that through collective efforts, the SJVN aimed to promote sustainable practices and create greater awareness among local communities.

Meanwhile, Parthajit De, Director (Finance), administered the pledge to employees at the liaison office in Delhi. Similar pledge ceremonies were organised across all projects and offices of the SJVN strengthening the organisation’s commitment towards cleanliness, sanitation and sustainable practices.

In line with the directions of the Ministry of Power, Government of India, ‘Swachhata Pakhwada 2026’ is being observed from May 16 to 31, for which various cleanliness and awareness activities have been planned. This includes cleanliness drives, awareness campaigns, plantation activities, declamation competition, community outreach programmes and initiatives related to waste management and environmental conservation.
