Kota Kinabalu: SK (C) Anglo-Chinese in Luyang showcased the beauty of unity and diversity during its Chinese New Year celebration.

Despite being a Chinese school, it takes pride in highlighting its unique composition, with 40 per cent of its 1,165 pupils being non-Chinese, said Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe.

The diversity reflects the multicultural essence of Malaysia’s education, especially in Sabah, said Phoong when officiating the school’s Chinese New Year programme.

The Luyang assemblyman said the Sabah Government’s involvement, especially in allocating annual funds, further underscores the commitment to fostering diversity.
