Police discover infant’s skeletal remains buried in a house compound in Alor Gajah, arresting four individuals for investigation under concealment of birth.

ALOR GAJAH: Police have discovered the skeletal remains of a baby, believed to be around four months old, buried in the compound of a house here.

Melaka police chief Datuk Dzulkhairi Mukhtar confirmed the discovery and said the case is being investigated under Section 318 of the Penal Code for concealment of birth.

He added that police have arrested four individuals, including two women, to assist with the investigation.

A police forensics team caused a stir in the Kelemak residential area earlier today.

Personnel were seen digging in the terrace house compound using hoes to search for evidence before the team left the scene around 12.30 pm.

The residential area is described as relatively quiet, with the house located opposite a vacant unit.
