Sacked Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann missed several calls while skiiing on the Alps before his dismissal last week.

BILD says the German was unreachable to Bayern's chiefs as he partied away in Austria.

Nagelsmann was sacked last week and replaced by former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel.

Nagelsmann's consulting agency, Sports360, said: "There was no contact and no contact attempt by Bayern. Julian Nagelsmann's management called Hasan Salihamidzic even after the various rumours in the media."

But both sporting director Salihamidzic and chief exec Oliver Kahn have denied the claims.

They say that they did try, multiple times, to reach out to Nagelsmann but he did not answer his phone during his skiing holiday in Austria's Zillertal region.

In the end, Nagelsmann answered his phone at 9:45pm on Thursday and sacked in an hour-long meeting the following day.
