Anis Slimane feels he'll get a fresh chance under new Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder.
Slimane impressed in victory over Brentford on Saturday.
"It's about high intensity, running and tackles, but he also wants us to be better with the ball and create chances," said Slimane of Wilder's early demands.
"I'm looking forward to working with him and know how he wants to play. I enjoy that style of play, with hard work, tackles and running. And I have technical quality as well. He wants to see people enjoying moments and scoring goals as well and that's my game.
"When you're a football player, you just want to play every weekend. And the days when you do play, it is frustrating.
"But I knew that I had to work hard and keep being patient, and my time would come. Thankfully I got some minutes today and hopefully I showed the manager that I am ready to help the team, every time he wants me to do it. It was amazing."
