Slovenia’s economy expanded at a faster pace in the first quarter, official data showed on Friday.

Gross domestic product grew 3% year-on-year on a non-seasonally adjusted basis, accelerating from a 2% increase in the previous quarter. The economy has been growing since the second quarter of 2025.

On the expenditure side, household consumption rose 2.7%, while government spending increased 3.9%.

Gross fixed capital formation jumped 12.6%, driven by stronger investment in buildings and structures.

On a seasonally adjusted basis, GDP rose 3.1% annually, up from 1.6% in the fourth quarter. Quarter-on-quarter, the economy expanded 0.7%, following a 0.4% increase in the final quarter of 2025.
