Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Law Society (SLS) has reminded members of the public attending the Court of Appeal proceedings on Sabah’s 40 per cent constitutional entitlement on Oct 29 to comply with court protocols and security arrangements.
In a statement, SLS president Datuk Mohamed Nazim Maduarin said the proceedings will be held on Thursday, at the Kota Kinabalu Court Complex, serving as an extension of the public gallery, where the hearing will be transmitted for on-site viewing.
SLS said formal court-appropriate attire is required, while slippers, shorts and unsuitable casual clothing are not permitted.
Photography, audio or video recording, livestreaming and rebroadcasting of the proceedings, including through social media platforms, are strictly prohibited, and food and drinks are not allowed inside the Conference Hall, although drinking water will be available at the foyer.
Nazim urged attendees to maintain proper decorum and comply with directions from court officials and security personnel, saying public cooperation was important to uphold the dignity of the court and the independence of the judicial process.
