After its explosive debut in Jakarta, the SM Universe K-Pop Rising Star Search is finally heading to Malaysia and it’s happening at the Damansara Performing Arts Centre (DPAC).

SM Universe (Singapore) is Southeast Asia’s premier K-Pop training academy, offering authentic trainee-style lessons in vocals, dance, music production, and stage performance, just like in Korea.
Now, they’re taking things up a notch with the Malaysia edition, which will focus on young dance talents from across the nation.
Whether you’re already performing or just starting out, this is your chance to make your mark in front of real industry pros.
Here’s how to join the competition
Registration opens: October 1, 2025
Fees:
- Early Bird (Oct 1–31): RM150
- Standard (Nov 1–30): RM200
Show them your best moves, submit a 60-second solo K-Pop dance cover video through the official registration form.

Who can join?
Anyone aged 8 to 18 years old from Malaysia with a passion for dance and dreams of making it big in the K-Pop world.
What’s up for grabs?
Winners will receive an exclusive one-week training scholarship at SM Universe Singapore, worth up to SGD 1,500. You’ll be trained by actual K-Pop trainers from South Korea — yes, the real deal!
