Kota Kinabalu: Sabah SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) have been urged to explore more into adopting environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices in their business model.
Making the call, Local Government and Housing Minister cum Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said a robust ESG programme can attract access to larger capital funding from potential investors.
A good ESG programme, he said, can also build a stronger corporate brand and promote sustainable long-term growth that will benefit a company and investors.
