When I mentioned to Kevin Fabian from the Office of Tan Sri Dr. R. Palan, the Founder of Palan Foundation & Pro Chancellor of University of Cyberjaya (UoC) about the role of business in the communities (B2C), he agreed it was a pretty good description of what they do. ‘B2B’ is more well-known term, meaning ‘business to business’ but that includes a whole raft of businesses supply physical products for business.
The Palan Foundation (Yayasan Palan) is an educational non-profit organisation that focusing on a highly comprehensive professional development programs for teachers and providing scholarship opportunities for deserving students pursuing undergraduate studies in rural communities. I've known Tan Sri Palan for more than 30 years as a Malaysian entrepreneur and the author of 21 books. He is dedicated to making quality education accessible for the economically less privileged. He strongly believed that businessess should be bolstering the communities, as a realm of synergy, strategy, and success in the economy. These entities are the wind beneath the wings of many countless ventures.(www.cyberjaya.edu.my)

I observed as an entrepreneurial scholar, HRD educator & corporate trainer, Tan Sri Dr. Palan subscribed to feedback as a prerequisite for learning, and fast feedback loops speed up learning. More broadly, in a world of smart business, feedback loops operate throughout every relationship and action in the network. Tan Sri said, “The more our business utilises feedback loops, the smarter our business will become.”
In my conversation with Kevin, we agreed that we live in a world of quick and expansive change. The conventional wisdom tells us that the faster things change, the harder it is to presict the future. Yet my experience has taught me that times of drastic change are precisely when individuals need to think clearly about the future. Whoever has a clearer view of the future will bet correctly and will potentially win big!
