Kota Kinabalu: SMK Putatan maintained a 100 per cent pass rate in the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examination for the fourth consecutive year, with all 159 candidates achieving full passes in 2025.
Principal Zarida Mohd Junaidi said the school recorded a Grade Point Average (GP) of 3.00, surpassing the national average of 2.88 and Sabah's 2.78.
Nine candidates obtained a perfect Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.00, one scored 3.92, while 83 achieved 3.00 and above.
The achievement also earned the SMK Putatan Form Six Centre two Sabah Education Department 2025 Academic Excellence Recognition Awards for its 100 per cent STPM pass rate and GPS of 3.00.
Speaking at the school's Cohort 13 STPM 2025 Convocation at SICC, Saturday, Zarida attributed the achievement to the dedication of teachers and support from parents, adding that the school is now targeting a performance KPI of 3.27 for STPM 2026.
