Traffic flow on all major expressways is smooth this morning, but volumes are expected to rise after noon and during adverse weather.

KUALA LUMPUR: Traffic flow on all major highways nationwide was reported to be smooth as of 10 am today.

A Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) spokesperson said key hotspots have yet to record any congestion.

“So far, traffic remains under control. However, we anticipate a gradual increase in volume after noon or following Zohor prayers,” he said.

The spokesperson added that weather conditions could also impact traffic flow later.

He noted that continuous heavy rain from morning until evening yesterday contributed to higher traffic volumes.

Motorists are therefore advised to ensure their vehicles are in good condition before travelling.

The LLM also reminded motorists not to switch on their hazard lights while driving in the rain.

Drivers are urged to adhere to speed limits and maintain a safe following distance.

Highway users are encouraged to plan trips using the Travel Time Advisory schedule via the MyPLUS-TTA application.

For updates, the public can contact the toll-free PLUSLine at 1-800-88-0000.
