Snatch thief robs Negeri Sembilan’s Spanish striker Mika Junco in KL

KUALA LUMPUR – Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) has confirmed that its new signing Mika Junco became a victim of a snatch theft last night in Kuala Lumpur.

In an official statement posted on the club's social media platforms, NSFC said that the incident occurred while the player was alone.

"The incident resulted in Mika losing his valuable belongings, but he is currently safe, and a police report has been lodged.

"Our club strongly condemns such criminal acts and hopes that the authorities will apprehend and bring the perpetrator to justice.

"We would also like to take this moment to express our gratitude to the fans and supporters who have shown support to our player during this difficult period," read the statement.

Earlier, a post was uploaded on Mika's Instagram story with captions showing bruises he sustained during the incident.

"They just stole my gold chain in the centre of Kuala Lumpur from a motorcycle; everything else is safe.

"I hope someone starts to stop all these things," said Mika on his Instagram story.

Mika, who joined the Jangs in the recent transfer market, has previously plied his trade with teams such as Real Santander FC, Huesca FC, Marino Luanco FC, and Xerez Deportivo FC in Spain.

The 31-year-old Spanish forward also boasts a record of scoring 134 club career goals in 279 appearances.
