RM200 Booking Value: Offsetting Shared Mobility Costs

Under the relief initiative, eligible former SOCAR users can offset vehicle rental expenses across multiple trips on the GoCar platform:

• Booking Offset Structure: Users can apply up to RM20 per booking, allowing them to save across as many as 10 separate trips for a cumulative value of RM200.
• Wide Fleet Access: The credits apply across the standard GoCar Share fleet, spanning compact hatchbacks, sedans, practical multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs), family crossovers, and full battery electric vehicles (EVs).
• Four-Month Validity Window: Approved credits remain valid for bookings made until 31 December 2026.

CEO of GoCar Mobility, Wong Hoe Mun, noted that while the car-sharing landscape is adjusting to SOCAR’s departure, demand for flexible vehicle access remains strong. The initiative aims to provide seamless mobility continuity so commuters can travel freely without taking on the heavy financial burdens of hire-purchase loans, road tax, and maintenance upkeep.

• Geographic Coverage: Active operational hubs located throughout the Klang Valley, Penang, and Johor Bahru.
• 100% App-Driven Convenience: Reservations, keyless vehicle unlocking, trip extensions, and payments are managed entirely via the GoCar mobile app.
• Diverse Vehicle Choices via GoCar P2P: In addition to its company-owned fleet, the platform operates GoCar P2P, a peer-to-peer marketplace that enables private vehicle owners to earn supplementary income by renting out their underutilized vehicles, thereby expanding vehicle variety and pickup locations for renters.

• Register an account via the GoCar mobile application (available on Apple App Store and Google Play Store) or through the official website.
• Register between 19 August and 30 September 2026.
• Take a screenshot showing your existing SOCAR app wallet balance.
• Email the screenshot along with your GoCar registered account details to marketing@gocar.my for verification.
• Once verified, the promotional credits will be deposited into the user’s GoCar wallet for immediate use.
