
- Cinemark has unveiled a new Spider-Man: Brand New Day-themed popcorn bucket, which has raised eyebrows due to its suggestive design.
- The popcorn container features a Spider-Man arm topped with a white cone-like bowl and a straw, intended to represent webs, but has been likened to other, NSFW objects by social media users.
- “The industry has been intentionally making these popcorn buckets look dirty for publicity ever since the Dune 2 bucket,” one person said, referring to the divisive design that featured a Sandworm mouth as a lid.
- The fourth instalment in the Tom Holland-led superhero film series is set to be released in cinemas on 31 July.
- Holland and Zendaya reprise their roles as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and MJ, respectively, in the highly anticipated sequel.
