A solicitor has explained what happens if a person dies and they have not made a will.

Solicitor Paul Britton explains how if a person who is married has not made a will, some money will automatically go to their spouse, with the rest split evenly between them and any children.

Appearing on This Morning on Wednesday (7 March), Mr Britton said: “If you don’t have a partner or children, the rules get slightly more complicated, but it follows bloodline, so it will either go to grandchildren or go up the chain to your mum and dad or grandparents.

“If there is nobody that can inherit, it goes to the crown.”
