  • YouTube star Sam Battle, known as Look Mum No Computer, has been announced as the United Kingdom's representative for the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest.
  • Battle will perform a song titled "Eins, Zwei, Drei" (German for "one, two, three"), which is set to premiere on Scott Mills' BBC Radio 2 show this Friday.
  • Based in Kent, Battle is recognised for his YouTube channel where he builds musical instruments from unconventional items, and was previously the frontman of the band Zibra.
  • The 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Vienna, Austria, following JJ's victory for Austria in the 2025 competition.
  • The 2026 contest will see the smallest number of participating countries since 2003, as several nations, including Iceland and Spain, are boycotting over Israel's inclusion.
