PETALING JAYA: National mixed doubles shuttlers Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Jemie Lai secured a semi-final spot at the BWF World Tour Finals in Hangzhou, China, today after defeating Dejan Ferdinansyah-Gloria Emanuelle from Indonesia.

They join compatriots Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei, who topped Group B, in the semi-finals to be played tomorrow.

AdvertisementThe world No 10 pair, who needed a win to make it to the last four, won 17-21, 21-15, 21-14 against the world No 13 Indonesian pair in a match that lasted 67 minutes.

Over in the other court, world No 8 Tang Jie-Ee Wei defeated Japan’s world No 21 Hiroki Midorikawa-Natsu Saito to confirm their top position in the group. They will play the runner-up from Group A, who will be confirmed later.
