
PETALING JAYA: Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai are through to the final of the China Open mixed doubles competition after beating China’s Cheng Xing-Zhang Chi in their semi-final today.
The world No 12 Malaysians beat their world No 22 opponents 21-18-21-18 at the Changzhou Olympic Games Centre.
Soon Huat-Shevon will now face either China’s world No 3 Feng Yan Zhe-Huang Dong Ping or Indonesia’s world No 16 Dejan Ferdinansyah-Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja in the final.
The men’s doubles pair of Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani also has a shot at the final when they take on Indonesia’s Shohibul Fikri-Daniel Marthin in their semi-final later today.
