Organizers of the 2026 Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival have partnered with audio post-production company Stage Post Audio and Music Productions Inc. to help filmmakers, including student participants, improve the technical quality of their film entries.
The collaboration, announced ahead of the festival’s third edition, aims to provide a more consistent approach to audio standards across competing films, particularly for emerging filmmakers who may have limited access to professional post-production resources.
Under the partnership, Stage Post will extend its services and expertise to Puregold CinePanalo filmmakers, offering technical support intended to align the festival’s entries with industry-standard audio practices.
As an official festival partner, Stage Post Managing Director Paulo Almaden said the collaboration is focused on helping filmmakers fully convey the emotional intent of their stories through sound.
“The filmmakers are telling powerful, very human stories, and our goal at Stage Post is to make sure their work is experienced with the same depth and clarity they intended,” Almaden said. “This partnership is a chance to collaborate with seasoned storytellers, as well as champion new voices who deserve to be heard at the highest level of craft.”
Stage Post will provide a co-production grant covering complete audio post-production services for one selected full-length film and one student short film. The grant includes the work of a re-recording mixer, sound designer, dialogue editor, foley and effects artist, and an ADR (automated dialogue replacement) specialist. The services will be provided in Stage Post’s capacity as co-producer and will exclude miscellaneous production costs.
In addition, all Puregold CinePanalo filmmakers will be offered a 50 percent discount on audio post-production services should they choose Stage Post as their sound partner.
Beyond production support, the company will also conduct a training initiative aimed at strengthening filmmakers’ understanding of sound design and post-production.
The workshop series, titled “Para sa Panalong Tunog: Audio Post Essentials,” is designed to help standardize audio deliverables across CinePanalo entries and underscore the role of sound and music in storytelling.
The program will include both online and face-to-face sessions covering topics such as storytelling through music, sound design for surround formats, dialogue editing, foley techniques, mixing, and post-production workflow management.
Participants will also be given a guided tour of Stage Post’s facilities, an orientation on international audio standards, and a special session with an invited industry expert.
All CinePanalo full-length and student short filmmakers are invited to participate in the workshops, with each film entitled to two slots for a maximum of two representatives. Priority will be given to student short finalists and to filmmakers availing of the co-production grant or discounted services.
The 2026 Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival will be held at Gateway Cineplex 18 and select Ayala Cinemas.
