Graeme Souness believes that Manchester City star Jack Grealish is not the quickest learner.

Grealish struggled to show his best qualities for City last term, as he was a peripheral figure for much of the campaign.

However, the departures of Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus mean he may get more playing time this term.

Souness stated on Grealish when talking with former City star Micah Richards for Sky Bet: "He's not a quick learner. All the top players are quick learners. Jack's had a year and for me he's not improved."

When Richards defended Grealish, saying his price tag influenced people's opinions on him, Souness added: "I have not mentioned his transfer fee.

"City have got some world-class players. I'm looking at what he gives in the 90 minutes.

"I don't see any improvement at all in him. Top players are quick learners, Micah."
