Salernitana coach Paulo Sousa admitted mixed emotions after their impressive 1-1 draw with Inter Milan on Friday.
Antonio Candreva struck against his old club for the point.
Sousa later said, In the first half we didn't have our usual balance and we allowed the initiative to our opponent.
We struggled with the ball coming in behind our wingbacks," he continued, and that's how we conceded.
So we thought of ways to raise or defensive line, and we thought of changes to our tactical structure.
I think the way that we interpreted the second half was brilliant, and against Inter, anything can happen.
Inter have a goalkeeper who's great with the ball at his feet, the Nerazzurri play both wide and deep, and so it's hard to keep compact.
Accordingly we changed our shape a bit to start with, allowing them more space in the wide areas, but for that reason we ended up having to sit very deep and we had to suffer a lot."
