NON-BANK financial firm South Asialink Finance Corp. (SAFC) recorded P1.48 billion in loan releases in the third quarter of 2026, mainly supported by sustained demand for vehicle financing.
In a statement on Tuesday, SAFC said it released loans across 2,860 accounts from July to September, with monthly disbursements rising steadily throughout the quarter as vehicle purchases picked up ahead of the holiday season.
“As we grow our disbursements, we remain focused on keeping our portfolio healthy through consistent borrower engagement and sound credit standards,” SAFC Chief Operating Officer Azenith Cabrera said.
“For us, sustainable growth means reaching more customers while maintaining loan quality” through borrower engagement and credit assessment standards, she added.
Company data showed that loan releases reached P473.41 million in July before increasing to P478.64 million in August and P527.35 million in September.
Pre-owned car financing accounted for the largest share of third-quarter disbursements at P592.55 million, followed by car refinancing at P538.25 million and truck refinancing at P205.14 million.
SAFC said the three products generated more than P1.34 billion, or approximately 90 percent of its total loan releases during the quarter, and reflected “growing demand among women entrepreneurs who are leveraging vehicle assets to finance and grow their businesses.”
The company said 97.7 percent of its P6.7-billion loan portfolio was performing, while its non-performing loan ratio stood at 2.3 percent as of end-September 2026.
“For the fourth quarter, SAFC will focus on closer coordination with its branches and sales partners, improved customer touchpoints, and expanding product access in underserved markets,” Cabrera said.
The company operates more than 100 locations across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, serving individuals, entrepreneurs and businesses through its financing products.
SAFC started with seven branches in 2006 with a mission to empower individuals, organizations, and small to medium enterprises (SMEs) with easy access to financing. Today it has more than 100 branches nationwide, serving more than 52,000 clients as it continues to expand its reach under the Asialink Group of Companies.
