South Asialink loan releases hit P2.09B

NONBANK financial institution South Asialink Finance Corp. recorded P2.09 billion in loan releases from January to June, which it said demonstrated continued demand for accessible financing solutions.

The company said on Thursday that monthly loan distributions consistently surpassed P300 million, mainly driven by its vehicle-backed refinancing line for cars and trucks.

Releases for this loan product reached P1.1 billion during the first half, up from P1.0 billion a year earlier and making it the largest contributor to total loan releases.

Secondhand car financing was another major contributor at P807.52 million.

South Asialink also reported higher releases for its JUANAsenso Loan, a product designed to support women-led enterprises, which rose by 41.6 percent to P393.99 million.

Monthly JUANAsenso loan releases also averaged over P60 million, peaking at P70.39 million in March 2026, the company said.

Meanwhile, combined releases for secondhand and new commercial trucks financing totaled P116.97 million.

“Behind these numbers are everyday Filipinos using our financial solutions to acquire vehicles, support their families, grow their businesses, and achieve their goals,” said South Asialink President and CEO Maricel Dejongoy said.

“Sustaining our multibillion-peso releases in the first half gives us strong momentum heading into the second half of 2026,” she added.

Chief Operating Officer Azenith Cabrera said streamlining operations, strengthening credit processes and expanding branch networks had always been their focus to promote continued growth.

Moving forward, the company said it planned to continue expanding its JUANAsenso program and other inclusive financing products by extending its physical branch network into key provincial markets beyond its current number of over 100 locations.
