SOUTH Korean President Lee Jae Myung announced on Friday that Seoul and Washington had finalised a joint fact sheet detailing agreements on trade and security following his summit with U.S. President Donald Trump last month.

Speaking at a televised briefing, Lee said South Korea will be constructing nuclear-powered submarines and forming a new partnership with the United States on shipbuilding, artificial intelligence, and the nuclear industry.

Reuters reported on Friday that Lee also confirmed that during his meeting with Trump in Gyeongju last month, the two leaders agreed to a deal reducing U.S. import duties on South Korean products from 25% to 15%. - November 14, 2025
