South Korean hip-hop heavyweight Loco is officially making his way back to the stage — and this time, Malaysia is on the map. Fresh off the release of his latest full-length album ‘SCRAPS’, the rapper has announced dates for his Asia tour, with a much-anticipated stop in Kuala Lumpur.

‘SCRAPS’ represents a turning point in Loco’s career. The album is his third full-length effort but his first major release since parting ways with AOMG, the label where he built his name over the past decade. Now stepping out as an independent artist, Loco delivers a project that feels more like an open sketchbook — a raw, intimate collage of unfinished thoughts and reworked ideas that offer listeners a glimpse into his evolving creative world.

At the heart of the project is the lead single random summer night, a collaboration with rising American singer-songwriter Jordan Ward. Blending synths with crisp percussion and wistful lyricism, the track distills the feeling of a moment you never want to end. It’s equal parts nostalgia and liberation, which showcases Loco’s signature introspection alongside Jordan’s boundary-pushing melodies. More than just a summer anthem, it marks a bold shift in tone and texture for the artist — one that hints at even greater creative exploration on the horizon.

Loco has long been a central figure in Korean hip-hop since he burst onto the scene as the winner of Show Me the Money Season 1. His collaborations span both genre and generation, having worked with global K-pop icons like BTS’s Jimin and MAMAMOO’s Hwasa. But ‘SCRAPS’ makes it clear: this new chapter is about freedom and experimentation.

The Asia tour is set to begin in Taipei, before moving through major cities like Bangkok, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Kuala Lumpur will welcome the artist on 2 November 2025, with even more stops teased in the official tour announcement. While specifics about the Malaysian leg — such as venue and ticket prices remain under wraps for now, excitement is already building around what promises to be one of the most personal and transformative acts of his career.
