Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl spoke about the reason behind Che Adams dropping to the bench for the Arsenal clash.

The Saints secured a 1-1 draw in the Premier League on Sunday, despite going behind in the game.

Before the game, in which Arsenal took the lead but a Stuart Armstrong goal had ensured the Saints earned a point, Hasenhuttl spoke about Adams and the reasons for his absence.

“He has a little bit of hamstring problems and was not fully fit the last days and we are not taking any risks because we don't want to lose him," he said pre-game about the forward.

Saints fans will be hoping the forward is ready for their next game, given his improved form so far this season.

Southampton are still in serious danger of relegation from the Premier League at present.
