Southampton have launched a bid for Bordeaux striker Sekou Mara.
Sky Sports says Southampton have agreed a deal for the 19-year-old Frenchman over a €13m fee.
It is reported that thanks to the sale of the player, Bordeaux will be able to avoid liquidation.
Previously, the club was relegated to the third division of the French championship due to financial problems.
In the 2021/22 season, Mara scored 6 goals and made 2 assists in 27 matches for Bordeaux.
