Southampton are set to do battle against against Leeds United to secure Manchester City youngster Romeo Lavia.
The 18-year-old midfielder is a hot prospect at the Etihad Stadium club.
Lavia made his senior debut for City in the 6-1 EFL Cup win against Wycombe Wanderers in September.
The Belgian youth international excelled for the club's Premier League 2 side, and will be hoping to get a loan move to continue his development.
According to The Athletic, both Southampton and Leeds want to sign the youngster, even though City are reluctant to let him go.
