
Southampton manager Ruben Selles responded to the suggestion that he may have to axe some of his players.
The Saints endured another miserable result, losing in the FA Cup fifth round against League Two side Grimsby Town.
Fans were hoping for a distraction from their relegation fight, but the Saints put in a limp display to lose 2-1.
"Well I will need to analyse that," he said post-game about whether some players were beyond redemption this term.
I will need to make decisions and we are making decisions. But that reflection should be for some time other than today."
He added: "I don't know [lowest moment], that's for you to evaluate. I think we have been in a lot of ups and downs.
And of course, it's a big disappointment. And yeah, it's not for me to evaluate if it's the lowest point but, for sure, it's not one of the best.
"We won't take two weeks to evaluate but it's going to take tonight and tomorrow to go through that. We cannot pass over these events too quick, that means that we are not doing our job."
