Southampton are making a late move for Manchester City for winger Sam Edozie.

Edozie is in talks to join Bayer Leverkusen in a £5m move.

However, Saints are making an attempt this week to keep the teen in England with City prepared to sell, says the Daily Mail.

If successful, Edozie would be the third arrival at St Mary's from City's Under 23s this summer, with goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu and midfielder Romeo Lavia having already joined the Saints.

Former City scout Joe Shields moved to Southampton this summer to become their new head of senior recruitment.
