Southampton are closing on a deal for Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
The Gunners academy graduate has extended his contract at The Emirates to June 2024, having initially been out of contract at the end of this season.
Saints have been keen to bring in cover in the full-back positions since Tino Livramento suffered an ACL injury in the final weeks of last season.
Maitland-Niles spent the second half of last season on loan with Jose Mourinho at Roma.
