Mpox is a viral infection that causes flu-like symptoms and pus-filled lesions. While usually mild, it can be fatal. Several Southeast Asian nations, namely Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines, have recorded cases, but none have been reported in Malaysia this year.
