England coach Gareth Southgate says losing Jamal Musiala is a "shame".
The Bayern Munich attacker is a former England and Chelsea youth teamer.
Southgate said, "Musiala is an exceptional player.
"We played him with Jude Bellingham in our Under-16s. He knows how much we liked him and we tried to keep him.
"In Bayern Munich there are eight German internationals who have had the opportunity to influence him. It is a shame. He is a very special talent."
