
- Almeria Airport in Andalusia is set to close for six days during “the second half of February 2028” to allow for major runway upgrades.
- All scheduled flights will be cancelled, rescheduled, or diverted during the closure.
- The six-day closure forms part of a wider 19-month, €29m (£24.8m) overall airport refurbishment project scheduled to begin in 2027.
- Further disruption is expected during this renovation period, with work taking place at night between 10.45pm and 7.10am.
- Ryanair, easyJet and Iberia are among the airlines that fly in and out of the airport regularly, and have been notified of the works.
