Rebate offers are given to borrowers with excellent academic performance at both institutions, said Yayasan Sabah Director Dato’ Sri Haji Gulamhaidar bin Khan Bahadar.

“Among them, full absorption of loans into scholarships for students who obtain a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.8 and above, a 50 per cent rebate for students who obtain a CGPA of 3.5 to 3.79, and a 25 per cent rebate for students who obtain a CGPA of 3.0 to 3.49 for Diploma and Degree,” he said.

“This rebate offer is given to encourage more Sabahan students to continue their studies at KTYS and UCSF and to motivate them to excel in their academics,” said Gulamhaidar.

UCSF offers academic and training programmes to advance Sabah and Malaysia’s socioeconomic and cultural agendas.

“UCSF has also achieved the Competitive Category in the Malaysian Integrated Higher Education Institutions Ranking System (Setara),” he added.

Meanwhile, KTYS’s objectives include providing access to high-quality academic Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) education, producing inclusive and competent graduates, and establishing a governance system that is high-quality, efficient and integrity-based.

Towards this end, smart partnerships are built with relevant industry players and educational and training institutions. On human capital development, KTYS is working closely with the government to equip its students with the necessary skills to meet the job market’s requirements.

“Through the KTYS My Choice campaign, the college recorded an enrolment of 1,366 new students, exceeding the target of 1,345 new students in 2024. This shows an increase in enrolment and commitment to quality education in Sabah,” he said.

In 2024, KTYS achieved 98 per cent graduate employability through strategic collaborations, including with DRB-HICOM University of Automotive Malaysia, which offers credit transfer and job guarantees to graduates who continue their studies there after graduating from KTYS.

Yayasan Sabah remains committed to empowering students through quality education and financial incentives for academic excellence.
