A Kedah student with spinal bifida achieved 10As in the 2025 SPM, overcoming personal loss, anxiety, and exam disruption from floods.
ALOR SETAR: Huda Rasheeda Rosli has achieved 10As in the 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) despite the challenges of living with spinal bifida.
The Sekolah Menengah Agama Darusaadah student is one of three special educational needs candidates in Kedah to secure outstanding results.
“I honestly didn’t expect this. My goal was just seven or eight As, so getting 10As feels like a blessing…especially after everything I had to overcome,” she told reporters.
Her exams were disrupted when flooding forced her to relocate to another school and stay in a hostel for several days.
She described this as her toughest challenge, having never stayed in a hostel before.
Huda Rasheeda credited her mother and two siblings as a constant source of support since her father’s passing in 2023.
She plans to continue with the Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) at the same school.
Her mother, Atifah Musa, acknowledged the difficulty of coping with a spinal condition, anxiety, and crowded spaces.
“When she had to move into the hostel because of the flood, I was worried she would not be able to focus,” she said.
The family is grateful she managed to achieve excellent results despite the obstacles.
