That's a lot of cash...

Two officers from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and a former agency officer pleaded not guilty to an alleged robbery charge involving nearly RM1 million at a luxury residence owned by a businessman from China two years ago.

Muhamad Haffiz Mohd Radzi, 33, Mohd Fahmee Mohamad Nor, 41, and Azwan Asli, 38, entered their plea after being charged with committing armed robbery against Kun Gao. The alleged incident on December 10, 2021, at a residence on Jalan Ampang purportedly involved RM952,690 in cash, 1,225 yuan, a silver suitcase, and a black Louis Vuitton (LV) bag.

The prosecution falls under Section 395 of the Penal Code, which carries a potential punishment of up to 20 years in prison along with whipping if convicted. That's a pretty heavy sentence...

During the proceedings, Deputy Public Prosecutor Izalina Abdullah suggested bail of RM30,000 each for Muhamad Haffiz and Mohd Fahmee, with additional conditions of monthly reporting to the police and surrendering passports to the court.
