The North London club were rocked to discover that goalkeeper Hugo Lloris could be out for one or two months.
Now the club have revealed that Yves Bissouma is having surgery on Friday.
He has a stress fracture in his ankle, which means he could be out for months as well.
Spurs officially confirmed the injury and surgery on Twitter, while also adding: "A timeframe for his return will be determined after surgery."
Bissouma has become a key figure for Spurs under Antonio Conte this season.
