Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has heaped praise on Brennan Johnson.

The winger, a former Nottingham Forest winger, is set to play his old club on Friday.

Johnson left Forest for Spurs in the summer, with Postecoglou pleased at what he has seen from him so far.

We're really pleased with the way Brennan's developing," he said in his pre-match press conference.

We're wary when signings come in late in the piece because they have to get up to speed with the way we train, the way we play, and he's had a couple of setbacks with little niggles so he hasn't really had a good run at it.

But the last few weeks you can see he's starting to more than anything feel at ease with himself in what we're trying to do. Especially in that front third, you need the players to play with a bit more freedom, albeit at the same time he's taking in a lot of information.

I think he was really good last weekend and unlucky not to score, but his general game was really good. I'm sure Sonny's helped him enormously, but ask any player in the group and they'd say Sonny has been a big part of helping them settle in to what we're doing here."
