Tottenham are eager to reunite manager Ange Postecoglou with former Celtic star Jota.
The 24-year-old forward raised eyebrows by moving to Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League in the summer.
Jota gave up the chance of European football for a big pay day, but has not been enjoying himself.
Per The Express, he may be on the move from the Middle Eastern nation as early as January.
Jota, who scored 28 goals and managed 26 assists in 83 games for Postecoglou at Celtic, is a Spurs target.
The club believe they can secure him for a reasonable fee in the winter to add to Postecoglou's options up front.
