A roast meat restaurant in Malaysia opened by Hong Kong actor Yang Ming has been ordered to temporarily close by the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ), leaving customers surprised just days after the business began operations.
The restaurant, Six Hub Roast House (丰六道), located in SS2, Petaling Jaya, opened on 14 August. However, barely 10 days after its official opening, the establishment was suddenly ordered to suspend operations.

Restaurant confirms order closure
Photos shared online showed an MBPJ notice displayed outside the premises, stating that the restaurant was directed to stop operating today (24 August) at 1 PM. The notice cited an alleged violation involving the premises and licensing conditions, noting that the closure was imposed in the public interest.
The restaurant issued a social media statement this evening, apologising to customers for the inconvenience and clarifying that the closure followed authorities’ findings that its kitchen was occupying public space.
“Following the authorities’ instructions, we will close for two days to make the necessary adjustments and resume normal operations on Wednesday, 26 August,” the restaurant said.

What happens next?

The restaurant thanked customers for their understanding and support, though the temporary closure means disappointed diners will have to wait a little longer for their roast meat fix.

While the management has acknowledged the local council’s instructions, it remains unclear what specific structural adjustments are required or whether MBPJ has imposed additional conditions.
If everything proceeds according to plan, Six Hub Roast House is expected to reopen on Wednesday, 26 August.
