Former Manchester United centre half Jaap Stam is not in talks over a return to the club.
Speculation in the Italian media had suggested that Stam was speaking to United's new investors INEOS.
While there may be some interest in bringing back the defender as a coach or consultant, Stam denied those rumors.
This week, he told the Daily Mail: "We're not in talks... I haven't heard anything about it."
The 51-year-old did work at United as a scout shortly after his retirement from the sport.
However, he has since gone to become a manager at many clubs around the world.
