Manchester United Treble winner Jaap Stam is happy seeing Lisandro Martinez prove his quality.
Lisandro has proven doubters wrong since his summer arrival from Ajax.
Stam told Bet365: “He is a good player.
"I knew that once he arrived, people in the UK would be talking about his height. It may be a problem for a centre-back, but he has shown his quality in Holland and in the Champions League.
"Defensively, he is very aggressive, sometimes he needs to be a little more aware of the opposition, but that's what you learn in the Premier League and what you learn playing against big teams and the best players."
