Kota Kinabalu: GRS, Star Sabah and PBRS have expressed support to the King's suggestion to form a unity government in the name of stability and end the current election impasse.

GRS chairman Datuk Hajiji Noor said the coalition, in rhythm with Sarawak's GPS, obeys the King's decision and advice to form a unity government for the nation's stability and people's wellbeing.

Star Sabah president Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan said this is the way forward for the nation.

“Given the political impasse faced by the nation and considering the suggestion by the Agong for a unity government, this would be the best solution at the moment," he said in a statement.

"The nation has to move forward. To do so, we must have stability."

PBRS deputy president Datuk Arthur Joseph Kurup said the party will abide by whatever decision made by BN in the interest of a stable government.

"The solidarity within BN must be maintained as the people are looking to BN to contribute to form a stable government," said Arthur in a statement.
