StarSabah Wiramuda chief Jordan Jude Ellron urged local parties in Sabah to contest independently in the upcoming state election (PRN), without forming pre-election coalitions.
He said political cooperation should happen post-election, based on the people’s mandate, not secret deals or short-term interests.
Citing examples from Malaysia and the UK, Jordan stressed that real political stability comes after elections. He pointed to Malaysia’s GE15 and the UK’s 2010 coalition as cases where parties negotiated only after polls.

"Solo contests would give voters true choice and strengthen democracy," he said in a statement.
