Starmer and Downing Street staff kick ball around No 10 in England good luck video

Sir Keir Starmer and the Downing Street staff kicked a ball around Number 10 in a good luck video message to England ahead of their World Cup last-16 tie against Mexico.

The video, posted by the prime minister on Sunday (5 July), shows a football making its way through Number 10, from bouncing off the iconic front door to rolling past Larry the cat down a corridor.

It ends with the ball landing in the garden, where Sir Keir traps it before kicking it towards the camera.

England face the daunting prospect of ending Mexico’s 13-year unbeaten run at the Azteca Stadium in what promises to be a compelling World Cup 2026 last-16 clash.
