- A terror charge against Liam Og O hAnnaidh, known as Mo Chara from the Irish language rap trio Kneecap, has been dismissed by the High Court.
- The charge stemmed from accusations of displaying a flag supporting the proscribed organisation Hezbollah during a gig in Kentish Town, north London, on 21 November 2024.
- The case was initially thrown out last September because prosecutors failed to seek the Attorney General’s permission, causing the charge to fall outside the six-month time limit.
- The Crown Prosecution Service's appeal against this ruling was rejected by the High Court, which upheld the original decision to dismiss the charge.
- The Prime Minister branded Kneecap's views as 'completely intolerable', while O hAnnaidh stated the process was about Palestine and vowed the group would not be silenced.
