Sir Keir Starmer has warned of “voices both here and abroad” who seek to cause division in his St George’s Day speech.

In the video message released on Wednesday (22 April), the prime minister said it’s important to “pull each other together” as there’s “no getting round the fact that there are voices both here and abroad who seek to divide us”.

He went on to explain how “senseless acts of abuse” like attacks on synagogues and mosques are an “attempt to rip up bonds that tie our communities together,” adding: “We will not let them do this.”
